Peer Group Administration Service

The Peer Group Administration Service is a browser based service that allows users to configure the overall P2P network environment such as rendevous servers, super peers, surrogates etc, as well as the creation of peer groups, administration of participants in each group and the location and security settings for the information/media to be shared.

P2P

The network settings allow for the configuration of the physical and logical definition of your network. A default implementation is provided and contains one super peer (local main peergroup) and default groups for readers, actors, locations etc. Additional information on network configuration may be found in the network administrators manual.

The Peer Group Administration Service service may be used as a stand alone service or integrated with an existing CRM. At present we supply modules to allow the system to integrate with the NK-CRM or Sugar CRM software allowing exiting contacts to be used in setting up participants in supply chain transactions. Alternativley, contacts may be entered manually or imported in the stand alone version.

The CRM based module has the advantage of all of your contacts being maintained in one place and integration with the service being both continious and automatic. For the NK-CRM we also provide for the addition of devices including all security and location information. The device integration also allows for configuration information (name, certificates etc.) to be push to devices as required.

Both contacts and devices are managed in this module and all security settings such as passwords, certificates, network addresses and mac addresses are currently supported. Security settings allow for participants to be defined by role and added/removed to/from groups and super groups (membership based on function eg. Transporter, Input etc.).

This information can then be used to assign members to a transaction as well as allowing for the automatic or semi automatic recomposition of transactions in a fail over situation. These settings are default for the participants and most may be overridden when assignment to a transaction is undertaken. More information is available in the P2P Group Administration users guide.
