Ontology/Metadata Configuration Service

Internet Ontology

This service allows you to update, add and remove ontologies from the system. At present we are using several ontologies in the base system and these are not modifyable directly via the client. The base ontologies are, by default stored on your servers, but versions are available online as a service where they are updated and tested as new data becomes available.

Ontologies are a large part of the Pharm2Phork system and provide a great deal of power when automating many of the tasks required. Document production and translation, semi automatic orchestration and correography of workflows and services just to name a few. The full documentation will be available shortly and will be linked in the Resources area of the left menu bar.

The present base set of ontologies include full editions or subsets of;

We also support the integration and mapping of concepts from the Business Process Modeling Ontology (BPMO) and Open Cyc however die to licensing restrictions these must be added after installation. These are also available from the online service, where they are updated after each release.

In addition to the Ag based ontologies, we also provide templates and support for the addition of Good Relations, Dublin Core and Friend of a Friend metadata to all html generated by the Website Generation service. More information on the use of these can be found on our Resource page.
